Both are valid for a fixed period and cannot be used after they expire.<\/p>\n<p>A <strong>multiple-entry visa<\/strong> allows visitors to come and go from Canada, usually for six months at a time, without having to reapply. <strong>It is valid for up to 10\u00a0years<\/strong>, or one month before your passport expires, whichever comes first. You must arrive in Canada on or before the expiry date on your visa.<\/p>\n<p>A <strong>single-entry visa<\/strong> allows you to come to Canada only once. After you leave Canada, excluding travel to the United States and St. Pierre and Miquelon, you will need a new visa to travel back to Canada.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;70px&#8221;][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][mk_mini_callout]<strong>Note:<\/strong> Some people are inadmissible\u2014they are not allowed to come to Canada. Several things can make you inadmissible, including involvement in criminal activity, in human rights violations or in organized crime.[\/mk_mini_callout][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/mk_page_section][mk_page_section padding_top=&#8221;50&#8243; sidebar=&#8221;sidebar-1&#8243;][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][mk_fancy_title color=&#8221;#163051&#8243; size=&#8221;24&#8243; force_font_size=&#8221;true&#8221; size_tablet=&#8221;20&#8243; size_phone=&#8221;20&#8243; font_family=&#8221;none&#8221;]Visit on business[\/mk_fancy_title][vc_column_text]You are a business visitor if you plan to visit Canada temporarily to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>look for ways to grow your business,<\/li>\n<li>invest or<\/li>\n<li>advance your business relationships.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are a business visitor, you may need to apply for an <abbr title=\"electronic travel authorization\">eTA<\/abbr> or a visa to come to Canada.<\/p>\n<p>If you need an <abbr title=\"electronic travel authorization\">eTA<\/abbr>, you should:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>get it when you plan your trip \u2013 do not wait for the last minute to apply, and<\/li>\n<li>travel to Canada with the passport you used to get your <abbr title=\"electronic travel authorization\">eTA<\/abbr>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you need a visitor visa, you must send certain documents with your application:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a letter of invitation from your potential business partner in Canada; and<\/li>\n<li>24-hour contact details for that person.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You may also need identification cards or proof that you have a job.<\/p>\n<p>As a business visitor, you must show that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>you plan to stay for less than six months,<\/li>\n<li>you do not plan to enter the Canadian labour market,<\/li>\n<li>your main place of business, and source of income and profits, is outside Canada,<\/li>\n<li>you have documents that support your application and<\/li>\n<li>you meet Canada\u2019s basic entry requirements, because you\n<ul>\n<li>have a valid travel document, such as a passport,<\/li>\n<li>have enough money for your stay and to return home,<\/li>\n<li>plan to leave Canada at the end of your visit and<\/li>\n<li>are not a criminal, security or health risk to Canadians.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][mk_fancy_title color=&#8221;#163051&#8243; size=&#8221;24&#8243; force_font_size=&#8221;true&#8221; size_tablet=&#8221;20&#8243; size_phone=&#8221;20&#8243; font_family=&#8221;none&#8221;][\/mk_fancy_title][vc_column_text]\n<section>Cross-border business can include:<\/section>\n<ul>\n<li>buying Canadian goods or services for a foreign business or government,<\/li>\n<li>taking orders for goods or services,<\/li>\n<li>going to meetings, conferences, conventions or trade fairs,<\/li>\n<li>giving after-sales service (managing, not doing hands-on labour),<\/li>\n<li>being trained by a Canadian parent company that you work for outside Canada,<\/li>\n<li>training employees of a Canadian branch of a foreign company or<\/li>\n<li>being trained by a Canadian company that has sold you equipment or services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Under the North American Free Trade Agreement, a U.S. or Mexican national may also take part in other activities, such as research, marketing and general services.
